Porcelain Tiled Patio

Date:

2021

Type:

Mosaic Porcelain & Artificial Lawn

Location:

Cannock, Staffordshire

Our client on this project knew exactly what style of paving they wanted to replace the tired decking area in the top corner of their garden. They chose a modern style of patterned porcelain which offers a contemporary feel.

The first port of call was to remove the decking, which came out with ease as it was completely rotten. Upon doing this, it posed the first unforseen issue - the decking area was raised and the reason for this became clear in that it was to cover the unsightly foundation of the building behind. After raising this issue to the client, we suggested that it would be best to install a kerb to cover the foundation while giving a nice border to the patio. With the paving being layed, it must be noted that each individual border tile was cut to size as the style that was desired couldnt be attained in store at the time.

After completing the patio area, we turned our attention to the artificial lawn. We removed the current artifial lawn and before re-screeding the area, installed a timber framework to securely fasten the lawn to. We used a premium grade of artificial grass and secured it to the framework with suitable screws.
